Soban is passionate about standing up for the rights of his clients and is dedicated to providing a high quality of legal service through his understanding and knowledge of the legal system. As a litigator, Soban has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario and has defended individuals charged with offences ranging from simple assault to murder.

Soban has worked with provincial judges at the Ontario Court of Justice in Scarborough, where he obtained a deep understanding of the criminal justice system and worked alongside judges on complex cases. Soban has worked extensively with numerous public institutions and communities. Soban worked at Parkdale Community Legal Services and the Community Legal Clinic of York Region; he has worked in a legal research capacity with OCAD University, York University and Osgoode Hall Law School.

While in law school Soban volunteered with Innocence Canada (formerly AIDWYC), the Citizen Empowerment Project in the Jane and Finch area, and Justice for Children and Youth. Soban earned his undergraduate degree with a specialized Honours in Philosophy at York University. Following his undergraduate studies, Soban obtained a graduate degree in Philosophy with a focus on jurisprudence and went on to receive his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School.
